The Challenge
An automotive supplier had an ongoing issue with valve performance when installed on a finished engine. The supplier successfully tested the valves in-house, and prior to shipment, but the valves still randomly failed at the engine plant. These failures caused significant rework at the plant and exposed the end customer to field failures and warranty exposure.

Phoenix Quality provided personnel, space, and equipment to test the supplier's valves in our warehouse and contain the suspect population in order to catch failures prior to assembly.
The Results
Phoenix Quality was able to protect the supply chain with certified valves, saving the supplier from plant disruption, rework cost and warranty penalties until a corrective action could be implemented at the supplier's facility.
Automotive Casting Supplier+ Automtive Fuel Filter Testing
The Challenge
An automotive casting/machining supplier had an ongoing need to maintain stringent cleanliness standards for fuel filter housing. Due to complicated machining processes and a lack of specialized equipment, the supplier required a third party that specialized in cleaning, flushing, and preserving product cleanliness.
Our Solution
Phoenix Quality designed and fabricated special fixtures to isolate fluid passages in a flushing process. By utilizing specially engineered washing systems, Phoenix Quality was able to flush and clean the housing to adhere to the customer's specific cleanliness requirements.
The Results
Phoenix Quality improved the quality and cleanliness of the parts, enabling the customer to meet and maintain a strict cleanliness standard.
Automotive Machining Supplier+ Casting/Machining Part Derusting
The Challenge
An automotive casting/machining supplier had several high dollar parts that had been exposed to humidity. The parts had rusted and were not suitable for production use.
Our Solution
Phoenix Quality utilized specialized equipment to remove the rust on sensitive surfaces and passages. We utilized a combination of laser, chemical and brushing of surfaces and passages to remove any debris or rust from the parts.

Phoenix Quality was able to salvage the parts, saving the customer thousands in scrap cost, logistics and customer shortages.
